Then North West to the Galway Bay Irish Restuarant, Pub & Grill Ocean Shores, WA

Friday and Saturday September 11th & 12th 8pm to midnight

And ... then Back to Portland to Kells Irish Pub & Restaurant

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 20th to 24th Septemberh 9pm to midnight

Quick Update

We're back! Well, for a wee while. My 1st performance in the Pacific Northwest was up in Murphys pub in Seattle. It was a fine gig, it's under new Irish ownership and hosting good music regularly.

I was on after Oliver Mulholland an Irish musician who lives in the area - I liked his set a lot and will be playing in the Irish Festival in Ocean Shores, WA on the same program as him in October - it's a small world.

It was great to meet up with the Burke family (and Marsha) in Murphys - they had also come to one of the first shows on my tour in Phoenix 10 months earlier!

The week after, I was playing Friday and Saturday in the Galway Bay pub & restaurant in Ocean Shores, WA - that is really a great place with a warm welcome

Then it was back to Mahers for the welcome home to beat all others - it was fantastic, even though we experienced the 1st rain for weeks, it never dampened our spirits - thank you to all who came along - it was great to see you again!

I was playing in Kells Sunday Aug 16th,after a fine night's playing, it was getting quiet, so they were all set to finish a bit early. I was on my 2nd last song when in walked about 30 fish people (people attending the national fish conference), well they were raring to go - so I kept going, got them singing fish songs and dancing (flapping) before I stopped at midnight. The next two days the fish-heads were all back again - in force with up to 80 of them having a ball. I've learned new fish signs and resurrected all the fish songs I ever knew!

What's new?

The best surprize I've had in a long time was one day finding a facebook message from my old pal Danny Gibson - the very person I mention in my website "about" page as one of my folk music heros- I couldn't believe it - so we're in touch again after... it must be 45 years - and we'll meet up again in Dundee when I'm back in November!
